By default organization browser web part is working on my site only and if you add the web part in any other page in different web application then will not work.
It will work in the same web application as my site which is not best practice to have the portal and my site in same web application.
For SharePoint 2010 you could use as Adam’s method as explained here which is not working for SharePoint 2013.

But this solution is not working for SharePoint 2013 as SharePoint 2013 uses claim authentication by default.
To make it work Just add the below script to the page right after the organization browser webpart.
add the content Editor webpart and click the source button in the ribbon and add this code:
